WHO-GMP Compliance Unit · Tahliwal, Distt. Una

Ready-mix coating systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing.

We do not sell one coating and call it universal. Each grade is formulated against a named active or a named problem, and supplied ready to disperse in water or solvent.

We make the coating material, not the coating machine. If you run a pan, we make what goes in it.

What we make

Coating systems developed around your formulation.

Rglax Pharma manufactures ready-mix tablet coating material, polymers and resins at Tahliwal, in Una district of Himachal Pradesh. The range runs under the Rglax Coat brand and covers 10 system families across 22 coded grades.

A ready-mix arrives as a single dry blend. You disperse it in water or solvent and spray it. Nothing is weighed or blended at your end, which removes the step where batch to batch variation usually enters a validated process.

Shade is matched against a reference tablet you send us and confirmed before release, so a repeat order reproduces the finish you approved rather than a fresh interpretation of it.

Product specification

Every grade is published with the parameters it runs on.

No supplier in this category publishes coater settings. We do, per pan size, because the first batch on your equipment should not be an experiment.

Quality control laboratory at the Tahliwal works

The works

Every batch is tested before it leaves.

Our plant at Tahliwal runs a quality control laboratory, a segregated sampling area and a quarantined reject store. Those rooms are what a WHO-GMP claim actually describes, and they are photographed rather than asserted.

Who we supply

  • Drugs and Cosmetics Act

    Pharmaceutical

Solid dosage manufacturers working under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act in India, and export oriented units supplying regulated markets abroad, who need enteric, moisture barrier, sustained release or standard film coating materials for tablets and capsules.

  • FSSAI

    Nutraceutical

Manufacturers regulated under FSSAI producing health supplements, multivitamins, iron tablets and functional tablets that require film coating, taste masking or moisture protection.

  • Schedule T

    Ayurvedic and herbal

ASU manufacturers working under Schedule T whose dark, mottled or hygroscopic herbal cores require extra white film coats, pigmented seal coats or hygroscopic adsorbents.

  • R&D and FDD teams

    Formulation development

Development teams and R&D units looking for active specific coating grades with documented application parameters and dissolution profiling support.

  • Toll and third party

    Contract manufacturing

Contract and toll manufacturers running coating pans or auto coaters who need a reliable, consistent ready-mix supply with batch to batch shade reproducibility.

What you get

  • Ready-mix, no in-house blending

Disperse in water or solvent and spray straight into the coating pan. Nothing is weighed or blended at your end, which removes the step where batch to batch variation usually enters.

  • Active specific grades

Coating grades developed against named pharmaceutical actives, including Pantoprazole, Amoxycillin with Clavulanate, Azithromycin and Sodium Valproate, rather than one film sold for everything.

  • Shade matching against your sample

Every batch is colour matched against your reference tablet before release, so a repeat order reproduces the finish you approved rather than a fresh interpretation of it.

  • Trial quantities with the parameters

Trial material ships with the application parameters for your pan size, so the first coating run is guided rather than experimental.

  • Support through scale-up

Technical support through trials, scale-up and dissolution profiling, for conventional pans and auto coaters alike.

Common questions

No. We make the material that goes into the coater, not the coater itself. If you are looking for a coating pan or an auto coater, you need an equipment manufacturer. If you have the machine and need the film that goes onto the tablet, that is us.

Yes. The grades are the same, the regulator is not. Pharmaceutical customers work under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, nutraceutical customers under FSSAI, and ASU manufacturers under Schedule T. Responsibility for the approvals your finished product needs stays with you, and we supply the documentation to support them.

A single blend that you disperse in water or in solvent and spray. Everything the film needs is already in the blend, so your plant is not weighing and mixing individual polymers and pigments before every batch, and the film you qualified is the film you get on the next order.

Yes. Shade is matched against a reference sample you send us rather than against a shade card, and it is confirmed before the batch is released. That way a repeat order reproduces the finish you approved.

Yes. Trial quantities go out with the application parameters for your pan size, so the first batch is not a guess. Trial material is supplied for evaluation, and the parameters are then confirmed against your batch size during scale-up.

The metallic and pearl series, the moisture barrier grades, the sugar film coat and the non-aqueous film coats all run on solvent. The aqueous film coats and ECM-RP348 run on water. UZ1 runs on either, which is why units with mixed lines hold it.

Yes. We manufacture at Tahliwal in Himachal Pradesh and supply solid dosage manufacturers in India and overseas. Export orders are quoted against your requirement, with the documentation your importing authority asks for. Tell us the destination and the volume and we will confirm what we can send and on what terms.

Our works are at Plot No. 30, Industrial Area Tahliwal, Tehsil Haroli, Distt. Una 174507, Himachal Pradesh, inside the pharmaceutical belt running through Baddi and Barotiwala. We supply solid dosage manufacturers across India, and we export to manufacturers outside it.

Something went wrong on the pan

Tell us what you are seeing.

Pick the defect off the batch in front of you. Every cause listed here is one we have chased down on a real pan, and the grade beside it is what we changed to.

What you are seeing

The film lifts out of an embossed logo or break line and spans across it, so the debossing goes shallow or disappears.

Usual causes

  1. 01Film applied beyond the build-up the debossing can carry
  2. 02A film with high internal stress as it dries
  3. 03Shallow or steeply cut debossing on the punch

What we would change

An extra white grade reaches full cover at a lower build-up, so there is less film sitting over the logo by the time the core is hidden.
